St Columba's, Victoria

Buckfast Ordinariate Mission was pleased to welcome Sr Mary Joseph to our Mass and fellowship. Sister comes from the Ordinariate across the 'pond' in Victoria, Canada. The Ordinariate in Canada is a deanery of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter. It was good to meet Sr Mary Joseph and especially to hear how our Ordinariate brothers and sisters are getting on. Much sounded very familiar in sister's description of their journey. I thought it wonderful to hear the same heartfelt gratitude for being in full communion with the See of Peter, combined with the gift of being able to treasure our Anglican heritage. It was good to sense a common Ordinariate spirit in someone who discerned it independently in another part of the world. It was a very encouraging time and we wished sister every blessing taking our love and prayers back home.

Please pray on June 14th for the two ordinariate deacons to be ordained priest in Victoria Canada.
