In today's gospel, for Thursday of Week 12 per annum, we hear the conclusion to the great Sermon on the Mount. In this Sermon, which is found in Matthew 6 & 7, our Lord has taught what it means to be a part of the Father's Kingdom, and that means, what it means to be Christ's disciple.
In this concluding passage our Lord speaks about the day of Judgement but focuses in a surprising way upon Christians themselves.
